Julian Smith is a highly experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over thirty-eight years of expertise in various commercial management and consulting roles. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with companies engaged in construction, specialist engineering, and commercial real estate development. With a significant focus on the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, including Hong Kong, China, Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan, Julian has gained extensive experience in projects spanning Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Experience: Julian's project experience encompasses a diverse range of sectors, including Airports (including structures and systems), Railways, Public and Commercial Real Estate (including Hospitals, Hotels, Retail Malls, Prestige Offices, and Mixed Use Developments), MEPF Installations, Ports, and Marine Civil Engineering projects. His deep understanding of various international contract forms and derivatives, along with his proficiency in drafting and administering customized contract arrangements, has enabled him to ensure seamless alignment of construction and procurement processes with contractual provisions.

Julian possesses solid expertise in defining, drafting, and prosecuting contractual claims. He is frequently sought after as a consultant, offering invaluable support for structured dispute resolution processes such as mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings.
